Appointments, honors and activities

Notables:

A team of Purdue undergraduate students won a grand prize in the U.S. semifinals of the 2019 Co-making the Future China-US Young Maker Competition for a device that can be used to treat a type of vertigo. Five of the team members will travel to Beijing to participate in the final rounds of the competition July 22-26. More information can be found here.

Faculty members of Purdue University Libraries and School of Information Studies are part of a team selected to receive a $249,179 award from the Laura Bush 21st Century Library Program via the Institute of Museum and Library Services. Purdue faculty will collaborate with colleagues from the University of Arizona and the University of Nebraska on a project to develop disciplinary information literacy curricula.
