Purdue Musical Organizations to host Purdue Choral Festival

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. — Purdue Musical Organizations will host the fifth annual Purdue Choral Festival on Friday (April 26) in Elliott Hall of Music on campus.

The concert, which is free and open to the public, will feature the Purdue Varsity Glee Club along with performances by visiting high school choirs. It will begin at 6:30 p.m.

An all-day event for high schools from around the Midwest will begin at 8 a.m. Nearly 400 high school students will visit campus and partake in vocal workshops conducted by Purdue Musical Organizations directors Bill Griffel, Jeff Vallier, Jake Stensberg and Scott Hines.

The festival will conclude with the free performances by the Purdue Varsity Glee Club, several of the participating high school choirs and by the combined choirs, totaling over 450 voices.

No tickets are needed to attend.
