WellSource Nutraceuticals launches all-natural allergy relief supplement

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. – WellSource Nutraceuticals, a startup located in Purdue Research Park of Northwest Indiana, has launched an all-natural supplement that is shown to boost the body’s natural immune responses acting as a shield against potential allergens.

“As a pharmacist from Purdue, I have been able to leverage my technical expertise to address market gaps in therapy and identify best-in-class treatments,” said Brett Dines, founder of WellSource Nutraceuticals and a Purdue pharmaceutical sciences alumnus.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention reports that more than 50 million Americans suffer from allergies every year. More than $18 million is spent combatting allergies, which are the sixth leading cause of chronic illness.

When an individual comes into contact with an allergen, their immune system reacts by creating histamines, or chemicals that cause allergy symptoms such as nasal congestion or watery eyes. Antihistamines, the most common allergy treatment, usually relieve these symptoms, but also provide their own unwanted side effects such as drowsiness.

To solve unwanted side effects, WellSource Nutraceuticals has developed an all-natural antihistamine supplement called Histamine Shield Plus. This supplement boosts the body’s immune response, so that the allergic reaction can be lessened.

“Our product alleviates concerns about over-the-counter antihistamines’ symptoms, and if taken properly, the supplement may allow users to not have to take or reduce taking decongestants or antihistamines,” Dines said.

The natural antihistamine supplement is available for purchase at Histamine Shield Plus’ website or Amazon.

“WellSource Nutraceuticals focuses on identifying and curating best-in-class supplements and homeopathic remedies for various symptoms or ailments, and this product specifically address both seasonal and contact acute allergies,” Dines said. “The formulation stabilizes the mast cells and the immune system with the highest manufacturing standards.”

In the future, WellSource Nutraceuticals aims to produce and distribute gold standard supplements and equipment throughout the regenerative medicine industry.
