Media advisory for Saturday (Sept. 22) events

Student dedication and a special Giant Leaps announcement 

9:30 a.m. Krach Leadership Center lobby. Iron Key dedication of “The Forge,” a life-size hammer-and-anvil statue that allows students and fans to step up and literally become a Boilermaker. Speakers include Purdue President Mitch Daniels; Jay Akridge, provost and executive vice president for academic affairs and diversity; and student leaders. 

10:30 a.m. Special Giant Leaps gift announcement. Courtyard outside of Union Club Hotel at the Purdue Memorial Union. Speakers include Daniels and Board of Trustees Chairman Michael Berghoff.
