Conflict on Korean Peninsula is focus of lecture, panel discussion

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. — A Purdue University graduate and professors in the College of Liberal Arts will discuss the ongoing conflict on the Korean Peninsula during a lecture and panel discussion Monday (Jan. 22).

The event, “Crisis on the Korean Peninsula and the Danger of Global War,” will take place at 7 p.m. in Lawson Computer Science Building, Room 1142. Speakers include:

* Nusta Carranza Ko, an Ohio Northern Univerity professor and a recent Purdue Ph.D. graduate, who specializes in international relations, human rights and comparative politics.

* Mark Tilton, an associate professor in Purdue’s Department of Politicial Science.

* Song No, an associate professor in Purdue’s School of Languages and Cultures.

The event is co-sponsored by the Committee on Peace Studies, the Department of Political Science, Greater Lafayette Progressives and the Lafayette Area Peace Coalition.
