Custom software company opens office in Purdue Research Park

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. and PASADENA, Calif. – Startup companies needing advanced web development might benefit from the work of Mighty Ant DataWorks Inc., a custom software company now a tenant in the Purdue Research Park of West Lafayette, Indiana.

“We do advanced web development for a lot of startups, and also work with established companies,” said Glenn Smith, president and chief software architect for Mighty Ant DataWorks. “We also do work group automation, letting companies grow without the need to hire additional employees.”

The 28-year-old Pasadena, California-based company has opened a second location in West Lafayette, to be close to Purdue University and the growing network of startup companies that come from Purdue-based research.

“We are excited to be here and look forward to working with the Purdue Research Foundation, Purdue University and the many companies that are a part of the exceptional Purdue ecosphere,” Smith said.

NASA, Adidas, Gatorade and Walt Disney Animation Studios are among the company’s notable list of clients.

“Years ago, our lead of engineering designed and led development of the digital pipeline that moved Walt Disney Animation Studios from being hand drawn animation to being a digital studio,” Smith said.

Mighty Ant DataWorks designs its work around customer needs, not tying themselves down to any single tool or approach.

“When you ask most custom software firms ‘Can you build such and such?’ they’ll say yes and tell you how much it will cost,” Smith said. “When you ask us, we’ll work with you to find your real underlying business goal, and then create an even better system to reach it.”
