MERRILLVILLE, Ind. - Michelle "Shellie" Dell has joined Legacy Environmental Services Inc. as its manager of marketing and business development.

Dell will increase marketplace visibility for Legacy Environmental Services and two related programs, South Shore Clean Cities and Wisconsin Clean Cities. She also will strengthen year-round donor engagement plans, identify potential partnerships and opportunities, and engage with the professional community in northwest Indiana. Dell previously had been manager of marketing and donor relations at Lake Area United Way.

Carl Lisek, vice president of Legacy Environmental Services, said Dell was hired for her tireless work efforts. Lorrie Lisek, his wife, is president.

"Shellie has been involved with so many positive activities that have made Indiana, especially northwest Indiana, a better place to live," Carl said. "Her enthusiasm and team spirit will help our customers achieve their sustainable goals while allowing our team to improve our legacy for future generations."

Dell said she joined Legacy Environmental Services, which is headquartered at the Purdue Research Park of Northwest Indiana, because of its goal to strengthen northern Indiana's reputation as a great place to live and work.

"I like that Legacy provides a comprehensive portfolio of service options for businesses of all sizes, including cost savings analysis, feasibility, design and end-to-end management of renewable energy solutions," she said. "I was drawn to Carl and Lorrie's passion for their lives' work. Their entrepreneurial spirit shines through with their innovative approach to Legacy's operations and business plan."
