Purdue's graduate programs ranked by U.S. News

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. — Purdue University's programs in engineering, education and business have been ranked among the best in the country in U.S.News & World Report's graduate school rankings released Tuesday (March 10).
Programs ranked this year include:
Engineering: Purdue's College of Engineering was ranked No. 6 in the country, tied with Georgia Institute of Technology, the University of Illinois, University of Michigan, University of Southern California and University of Texas.
Six engineering disciplines were in the nation's top 10 in specialty rankings, including a No. 1 ranking for agricultural and biological engineering. Aeronautics and astronautics and civil engineering both ranked sixth; industrial engineering ranked eighth, tied with Cornell University; mechanical engineering ranked eighth, tied with Carnegie Mellon University and Cornell University; and electrical and computer engineering ranked 10th, tied with Cornell University and University of Texas.
Education: Purdue's College of Education ranked 38th, tied with the University of California-Davis.
Business: Krannert School of Management ranked 53rd, tied with the University of California-Irvine and University of Georgia. Among specialty rankings, Purdue's production/operations program ranked seventh.
Additional programs ranked this year include:
Nursing: Purdue's School of Nursing ranked 58th, tied with George Washington University and South Dakota State University.
Online Engineering: Purdue's online graduate degree program in engineering was ranked No. 4.
Online Education: Purdue's online graduate program in education was ranked 54th, tied with Concordia University, Georgia State University, Regis University, Rutgers University and Valley City State University.
