• Student honors:
- Holly Chan, a graduate student in the College of Technology, is one of five finalists for Entrepreneur Magazine's College Entrepreneur of 2013. Chan has developed Hero Store, a zero-waste grocery store that eliminates product packaging by encouraging consumers to use reusable containers and dispensers to portion out dry goods such as pasta, soup mixes and oatmeal as well as package-free fresh produce, milk and eggs. The winner will be determined by public voting, now underway at http://www.entrepreneur.com/e2013college. The winner will be profiled in the January issue of the magazine and honored at a conference in New Orleans next year.
