Golf outing to benefit Wounded Warrior Project, Purdue and Ivy Tech student veterans organizations
June 25, 2013
WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. — The Purdue and Ivy Tech Student Veterans Organization on Aug. 24 will host its second annual golf scramble with part of the funds raised going to the Wounded Warrior Project.
Wounded Warriors is a national nonprofit that serves military service members who incurred service-connected wounds, injuries or illnesses, along with their families.
A limited portion of the proceeds from the event also will go to both student veterans organizations. Last year's outing raised nearly $3,000.
The event begins at 8 a.m. at the Birck Boilermaker Golf Course. Registration to golf can be done the morning of the event or by going to http://www.studentveteransgolf.com/. The cost to participate in the scramble is $75 a person or $300 per foursome.
