Jonathan Sweet

Jonathan Sweet (Purdue Bands & Orchestras): As we took on the task of running a marching band with restricted personnel in platooned groups, one of the biggest challenges was developing formations (“drill”) that accommodated all of the important COVID restrictions on social distancing. As we divided the band up three ways, Jon was tasked with writing three sets of drill for each recorded show, and he took on this task with great enthusiasm and success. I know that all of us with the “All-American” Marching Band have greatly appreciated Jon’s creativity and craftsmanship as he provided the visual materials we needed for our highly unusual (but highly successful) season. Thanks, Jon! -- Matt Conaway (Purdue Bands & Orchestras)
