Academic advisors: As Virtual STAR (Summer Transition, Advising, and Registration) comes to a close, the head advisors wish to extend our gratitude to Purdue’s undergraduate academic advisors. During these uncertain times, they have demonstrated patience, flexibility and a thorough commitment to our students and the University’s mission. We are proud of how the advising community has been able to pivot to doing all summer orientation activities virtually and at a distance. Also, we are amazed by how advisors are able to absorb all of the information they have received, process it, and then be resilient enough to come up with the best ways to help students succeed. The changes we’ve seen since March haven’t always been easy to manage, but the advisors have displayed exceptional camaraderie and teamwork to make a difference for the students and the entire University. – Purdue Head Academic Advisors
