James Brown (Operations and Maintenance): I want to thank James Brown, plumber from our Zone 4 team, for his situational awareness and quick action. James smelled something burning, and he stopped what he was doing and tracked down the source. Someone had put an improper container in a microwave, and it was smoking and dangerously near to starting a fire. James does a great job for us in his usual capacity but went above and beyond in this case, and helped to avert what could have become a much more serious issue. -- Michael Humphrey (Krannert School of Management)
