Tammy Siemers

Tammy Siemers (Biomedical Engineering): Tammy Siemers organized all of the Weldon School of Biomedical Engineering’s New Student Orientation events for our incoming graduate students. This requires months of planning, scheduling, communicating and paying painstaking attention to detail. Additionally, Tammy developed and presented two of the orientation sessions herself -- BME Graduate Programs Overview and Strengths Assessment -- and co-designed / co-facilitated a workshop on Introduction to Storytelling and Avoiding Plagiarism. Through dealing with unexpected schedule changes, answering countless questions and keeping the students on track and on time (all while fighting a cold and laryngitis!), Tammy led a very successful week of welcoming our new grad students to the Weldon School and to Purdue. Great job, Tammy!  -- Sandy May (Biomedical Engineering)
