Those who helped bring Purdue to the Indiana Black Expo

Those who helped bring Purdue to the Indiana Black Expo: A huge "Thumbs Up" to Provost Dutta and the Division of Diversity and Inclusion for sponsoring a Purdue University booth at the Indiana Black Expo from July 15-17. Annette Brown, with the support of the Diversity Leadership Team, was instrumental in working with Marketing and Media to create a fun learning environment to showcase the various colleges and departments within Purdue, allow for alumni to gather and reminisce, welcome first-year students and greet current students, staff and faculty. Annette and Makeba Washington worked to coordinate the many campus faculty, staff and students who signed up to work the booth from Admissions, Black Cultural Center, Center for Career Opportunities, colleges and departments with multicultural and minority program directors, Envision Center, Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and Queer Center, Purdue Ambassadors, Purdue Black Alumni Organization, Purdue Extension, Purdue Police, Purdue Polytechnic High School Indianapolis and Student Success. -- Zenephia Evans and Natasha Harris (both College of Science)
