Brittany Barnes

Brittany Barnes (Dean of Students): In July 2015, Brittany Barnes' proposal for the R.E.S.P.E.C.T. Initiative was selected as a $5,000 recipient to Kappa Delta Sorority's Confidence U. The sorority aims to provide funding for “confidence-building programming and awareness initiatives for women on their campuses." Barnes and the Panhellenic Association will roll out the R.E.S.P.E.C.T. Initiative this upcoming fall to feature a series of programs targeted at uplifting collegiate women and will also engage men on campus in the conversation with spring programming. Programming efforts will be open to campus and more information will be available soon. In less than one year, Brittany not only has been able to acquire additional funds for the community, she has had a profound impact on students and staff alike. Congratulations to Brittany on her efforts to bring forth change by instilling a sense of confidence in our students! -- Alicia Gilbert (Dean of Students)
