Danica Kirkpatrick

Danica Kirkpatrick (College of Agriculture): A big Thumbs Up to Danica Kirkpatrick, engagement program manager in the College of Agriculture, for her terrific leadership during Spring Fest! An estimated 30,000 visitors were on campus April 18 and 19 to do everything from milk a cow, to watch a cockroach race, to find out how hearing aids work, to learn about tornadoes, earthquakes, fossils and planets, to play math and word games and much more. Danica does a great job of planning, organizing and managing this campus-wide open house, Purdue's premiere outreach event. Thanks as well to all of the faculty, staff and students from across campus who made this event possible. Who knows how many budding scientists were created during Spring Fest weekend! -- Jay T.
