Welcome to the new Purdue Today
Dear members of our Purdue community,
In support of our efforts to elevate scholarly excellence, and to reduce email traffic to help give you back an hour a day of your valuable time, we’re delighted to introduce a new Purdue Today composed of four main sections:
- Scholarly Excellence features research advances and honors reflective of scholarly excellence, along with a focus on Purdue programs that rank in the top 10th percentile nationally. We also will provide updates on major successes in research and innovation, including large competitive research grants, patents and startups.
- Awards & Recognition focuses specifically on awards, recognition and esteem indicators garnered by our faculty.
- Events highlights lectures, colloquia and other activities of interest to our scholarly community. Along with special events reflective of Purdue’s strategic priorities, this section will contain information on our regular Presidential Lecture Series and Westwood Lecture Series.
- Things to Know combines items you are accustomed to seeing in Purdue Today, including Faculty and Staff news, General, Campus, Sports, Bringing Our Best, and Purdue in the News. Here we also highlight updates of campuswide importance from central Purdue areas such Human Resources, Administrative Operations, Purdue Information Technology and other campus partners.
As the daily communication center for our community of faculty, staff and graduate students, the aim of this new Purdue Today is to facilitate and advance the many conversations of import to our scholarly community and partners both locally and at the far corners of our world.
Boiler Up! And we hope you enjoy the new Purdue Today.
