Summer Undergraduate Research Fellowship program accepting project proposals

The Summer Undergraduate Research Fellowship (SURF) program is now accepting project proposals from faculty for the 2023 program.

Purdue faculty may post a research project on the EURO website now through Jan. 9 and select a student from the pool of applicants between Jan. 9 and Feb. 15 when the student application portal opens. Final selections should be made no later than March 1.

SURF is an opportunity for undergraduates to gain research experience under the guidance of a Purdue professor. The program is open to students enrolled at U.S. institutions in a baccalaureate degree program.

For more information, contact John Howarter, Engineering Undergraduate Research Office (EURO) director and associate professor of materials engineering and environmental and ecological engineering, at howarter@purdue.edu.
