Finalists for dean of the Polytechnic Institute to make on-campus presentations

Three finalists for the dean of the Polytechnic Institute position will be on Purdue's West Lafayette campus for two-day interviews in November and early December, the search committee announced today (Nov. 8).

Search committee chair Karen Plaut, the Glenn W. Sample Dean of Agriculture, said that as part of the process, finalists will make a 40- to 45-minute public presentation and then take questions from the in-person audience.

“We have three outstanding candidates,” Plaut says. “I hope faculty, staff and students will take this opportunity to hear from each candidate."

Feedback on the candidates is requested, and the search website contains an online tool for providing feedback. In addition, the full curriculum vitae for each candidate can be found on the site.

Purdue’s next dean of the Polytechnic Institute will succeed Gary Bertoline, who stepped down in May 2021 to take on the position of senior vice president for Purdue Online and learning innovation.
