Purdue Extension asking for input regarding mental health, substance use in workplaces

Purdue Extension is inviting employers and business leaders from across the state to participate in a survey on mental health and substance use in the workplace. The survey will help Purdue Extension understand how employers approach these issues and what supports businesses may need to address them.

The survey is available online. Purdue Extension is sharing information about the survey with the University community so that faculty and staff can share the survey with their networks throughout the state.

Numerous studies have shown that employee mental health and substance use affect productivity, employee satisfaction and retention. Headlines describe the ongoing challenges to sustain workforces, even as demand for workers continues to rise. Purdue Extension is addressing mental health and substance use concerns that affect Hoosiers by providing community education and prevention resources throughout Indiana. Purdue Extension is expanding these efforts by developing a curriculum to address mental health and substance use concerns for workplaces.
