PPRI, Butler Center to hold action-oriented conversation on future of work and well-being

The Purdue Policy Research Institute (PPRI) and Susan Bulkeley Butler Center for Leadership Excellence are inviting faculty, staff and students to the “Courageous Conversations: Future of Work and Well-being, Part 2” virtual discussion at noon-1:30 p.m. April 7. This session will build on discussion from Part 1, though participation in Part 1 is not required.

The topic stems from the organizers' belief that the two pandemics -- COVID-19 and racial injustices -- have exacerbated stress and anxieties related to work and well-being and the balance individuals are all seeking.

Part 2 aims to structure the approach for next steps -- moving discussion to action and discovery to impact. This action-focused working session will aim to connect the key issues covered in Part 1 and identify what data is needed to inform change. Part 2's discussion will result in a summary report and follow on activities around future of work and well-being. A literature review and policy analysis will be included in the discussion summary to assist in determining a path forward. PPRI will take the lead in the preparation of the summary report and analysis in collaboration with the Butler Center.

Blair Milo, Indiana secretary for career connections and talent, will provide the opening remarks. The panelists are Claudia Cummings, president and CEO of Indiana Philanthropy Alliance, and Joseph Grzywacz, professor and associate dean at the College of Human Sciences, Florida State University.

Registration is required and should be completed online. For more information, contact ppri@purdue.edu.
