Creating a strategic wellness plan for 2021 is focus of upcoming Healthy Boiler workshop

Purdue’s Healthy Boiler Program is a multifaceted approach to employee overall well-being composed of five pillars: behavioral health, financial wellness, physical health, social wellness and work-life integration. In support of the five Healthy Boiler pillars -- and to help employees set their priorities, reach their goals and take charge of their health -- a “Wellness Vision and Habit Formation” workshop will take place on Wednesday (Jan. 13).

The virtual Zoom workshop -- led by Cheryl Laszynski and Whitney Soto, registered nurse health coaches at the Center for Healthy Living -- will allow attendees to create a strategic plan for themselves complete with doable action steps.

The virtual workshop will take place from noon to 1 p.m. Those interested should register by Tuesday (Jan. 12) via the Healthy Boiler Portal. The registration link can be found under the “Engage” tab, “Wellness Events” on the portal’s homepage. Healthy Boiler workshops are free to all benefits-eligible faculty and staff and dependents covered on a Purdue medical plan.

Questions about the workshop can be directed to CHL at 765-494-0111.

CHL is open for medical appointments from 7 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Friday. Lab hours are 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday. For after hours and weekend care, contact the Anthem NurseLine at 888-279-5449 or visit LiveHealth Online for a virtual appointment.
