The Purdue community demonstrated strong support for this year’s Purdue United Way Campaign, raising $700,000 as of the Wednesday (Nov. 20) campaign celebration.

The ePledge system will be active until Dec. 5 for those who still wish to pledge.

On Wednesday, Purdue volunteers and United Way of Greater Lafayette leaders gathered to celebrate the efforts of the campaign. The Purdue campaign goal for this year is $800,000.

David Reingold, the Justin S. Morrill Dean of the College of Liberal Arts and this year’s campaign chair, thanked those gathered for their efforts this year.

“On behalf of the University and along with my co-chair Dean Gary Bertoline, we want to express our gratitude to all of the people who have contributed to the success of this year’s campaign,” Reingold said. “We appreciate this demonstration of leadership and commitment to our local community from our Purdue colleagues.”

Megan Eberly, director of Purdue United Way, also spoke and highlighted various events that were held on campus to help raise funds for this year’s campaign.

Purdue faculty and staff can use the ePledge system to make donations. As in years past, donors have the ability to donate an unrestricted gift to the United Way of Greater Lafayette or can choose a specific agency for their donations. Gifts can be made in various ways, including payroll deduction or a one-time donation. To make a gift via ePledge, visit www.purdue.edu/unitedway and click on the button "Give Now."
