Employees encouraged to actively enroll by 6 p.m. ET Nov. 12; resources available to help

All employees on the West Lafayette, Fort Wayne and Northwest campuses are strongly encouraged to actively enroll for 2020 benefits. Some benefits require the employee to provide additional information, such as tobacco user certification, health savings account and flexible spending account contributions and spousal coverage.

Tobacco-user status does not roll forward in the system; therefore, employees must enroll to complete the tobacco-user survey questions, as well as the others, in order to ensure that 2020 benefits are correct. Those who do not enroll and are non-tobacco users will default to tobacco-user status and the additional tobacco-user premium will apply.

Throughout the two-week open enrollment period, employees have several tools and resources available to help through the process.

FACE-TO-FACE ASSISTANCE

Walk-in labs are available on all Purdue campuses throughout open enrollment, and employees are encouraged to bring their questions to a lab. A complete list of labs can be found under “Resources” on the dedicated enrollment webpage.
