Butler Center Roundtable series to focus on work-life balance

The Susan Bulkeley Butler Center for Leadership Excellence is continuing its Butler Center Roundtable series this semester. The roundtable on Sept. 18 will focus on work-life balance.

The Butler Center Roundtables series is intended to facilitate discussion on diversity and inclusion in higher education on campus. Each discussion will revolve around research articles on topics such as faculty careers, challenges faced by faculty of color, graduate education, and issues about inclusion or other similar topics. Articles for each roundtable will be provided before the roundtable through the Butler Center's email list, or participants may email butlercenter@purdue.edu to request the links to the articles.

The roundtable on work-life balance is scheduled for noon-1:30 p.m. at Purdue Memorial Union's West Faculty Lounge. Lunch will be provided.

The lead discussants are Nancy E. Marchand-Martella, the Suzi and Dale Gallagher Dean of Education, and Regena Scott, assistant professor of practice of technology leadership and innovation. The secondary commentators are Megha Anwer, clinical assistant professor in the Honors College; Tiffany Lyle, assistant professor of veterinary anatomic pathology; and Gaurav Nanda, assistant professor of practice in the School of Engineering Technology.

All faculty, staff and students are welcome to attend. RSVP required; register here. For articles to be discussed, contact butlercenter@purdue.edu.
