About the Women’s Global Health Institute

The health of women and girls is of particular concern as a result of gender-related biological differences, socioeconomic status, and disparities in research involving women participants. The Women’s Global Health Institute delivers solutions through research, training and assistance to technology commercialization that address these challenges, both nationally and internationally. The center currently has focus areas in bone health, wellness, neurodegenerative disorders, and women’s cancers, and opportunities exist to redefine the WGHI research ecosystem to include other areas relevant to women's health.
