Butler Center Roundtables series to focus on excellence and diversity
The Susan Bulkeley Butler Center for Leadership Excellence is continuing its Butler Center Roundtables series on April 24 with a discussion on excellence and diversity.
The Butler Center Roundtables series is intended to facilitate discussion on diversity and inclusion in higher education on campus. Each discussion will revolve around research articles on topics such as faculty careers, challenges faced by faculty of color, graduate education, and issues about inclusion or other similar topics. Articles for each roundtable will be provided before the roundtable through the Butler Center's email list, or participants may email butlercenter@purdue.edu to request the links to the articles.
The roundtable on excellence and diversity is scheduled for noon-1:30 p.m. April 24 at Purdue Memorial Union's West Faculty Lounge. Lunch will be provided.
The lead discussants for the discussion are Aparajita Sagar, associate professor of English; Jill Newton, associate professor of curriculum and instruction. The secondary commentators are Pam Morris, professor of agricultural sciences education and communication; Laura Zanotti, associate professor of anthropology; and Nastasha Johnson, assistant professor of library sciences.
