Vanguard to answer target-date retirement fund questions with upcoming webinar
Employees have an opportunity to learn more about target-date investment funds and ask questions during an upcoming webinar presented by Vanguard.
Located on the Fidelity platform, Vanguard target-date funds are considered a Tier 1 investment option within the University’s retirement program investment fund lineup and are among the most used in the University’s lineup of options.
The hourlong webinar will include a 30-minute presentation with a live question-and-answer session to follow. Those participating will learn what target-date investments are, how they work and how to choose the right target-date investment.
The webinar will be offered on March 27 at three separate times: 10 a.m., noon and 7 p.m. Online registration is available.
To view current investment elections, employees may log into their Fidelity account at netbenefits.com, from the Quick Links drop down menu select Investment Performance and Research or call Fidelity at 800-343-0860.
A note about risk
All investing is subject to risk, including the possible loss of the money invested. Target-date investments are subject to the risks of their underlying funds. The year in the investment name refers to the approximate year (the target date) when an investor would retire and leave the workforce. The investment will gradually shift its emphasis from more aggressive investments to more conservative ones based on its target date. A target-date investment is not guaranteed at any time, including on or after the target date.
Questions can be directed to Vanguard at 855-402-2646 from 8:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. ET Monday through Friday.
