‘Health and Disease' poster session to take place Feb. 28; poster submissions sought

A poster session on "Health and Disease: Science, Technology, Culture and Policy" will take place on Feb. 28, and submissions by students, staff and faculty are invited.

The poster session, which aims to promote interdisciplinary collaboration in health and disease research, is sponsored by the College of Agriculture, College of Engineering, College of Health and Human Sciences, College of Liberal Arts, College of Pharmacy, College of Science, Purdue Polytechnic Institute, College of Veterinary Medicine and Purdue University Libraries. The event will take place from 1 to 3 p.m. in Purdue Memorial Union’s North Ballroom.

Students, staff and faculty are invited to participate and attend. Refreshments will be provided. Abstract submissions can be submitted online. Poster registration is due by Feb. 22.

Graduate students can enter their posters in a competition with awards of $400 to first place, $300 to second place and $200 to third place. Categories for the competition will be cancer; neuroscience and neurodegenerative disease; inflammation, immunology and infectious diseases; obesity and related diseases; prevention and wellness; and other.
