Discovery Park announces DURI projects for summer 2019; applications being accepted

Discovery Park has posted new research projects for the Discovery Park Undergraduate Research Internship’s upcoming Summer 2019 session. Undergraduates can see the current list of DURI projects and apply for the summer session at the DURI website.

Students may apply for up to three projects. The application deadline is March 31, and students will be notified of their acceptance after that date. Summer projects will span 10 weeks (approximately May 20-July 26). Faculty project supervisors will review all eligible student applications before making final selections. Students selected for each project will receive a $4,500 fellowship by the end of the summer.

The DURI program provides opportunities for students to work with researchers affiliated with Discovery Park on cutting-edge research projects that involve combining two or more disciplinary strengths. Successful project proposals fit into at least one of Discovery Park’s specific thematic areas: global security, global health or global sustainability. Each project is designed to bring together undergraduate researchers from across a broad range of humanities and STEM disciplines.
