Butler Center Roundtable series to focus on collegiality in higher education
The Susan Bulkeley Butler Center for Leadership Excellence is continuing its Butler Center Roundtable series this semester. The first roundtable on Feb. 5 will focus on collegiality in higher education.
The Butler Center Roundtables series is intended to facilitate discussion on diversity and inclusion in higher education on campus. Each discussion will revolve around research articles on topics such as faculty careers, challenges faced by faculty of color, graduate education, and issues about inclusion or other similar topics. Articles for each roundtable will be provided before the roundtable through the Butler Center's email list, or participants may email butlercenter@purdue.edu to request the links to the articles.
The roundtable on collegiality in higher education is scheduled for noon-1:30 p.m. Feb. 5 at Purdue Memorial Union's West Faculty Lounge. Lunch will be provided.
The lead discussants for the Feb. 5 discussion are Nancy Peterson, professor of English, and Ryan Davis, director of assessment and educational programs in the Division of Diversity and Inclusion. The secondary commentators are Karen Foli, associate professor of nursing; Briony Horgan, assistant professor of earth, atmospheric, and planetary sciences; and Alexander Francis, associate professor of speech, language, and hearing sciences.
Registration for the roundtable discussion must be completed online. For more information, contact butlercenter@purdue.edu.
