Human Resources announces update to 2019 medical plans

A memorandum to all benefits-eligible faculty and staff was sent today (Oct. 23) to make the University community aware of two changes to the 2019 medical plans:

* The implementation of the spousal coverage policy has been delayed, pending further review.

* Additionally, only an annual physical and biometric screening will be required to earn the second half of HSA (health savings account) contributions.

Due to these changes, the enrollment deadline has been extended to 6 p.m. ET Nov. 5 to allow employees more time to make 2019 benefit selections. All other previously announced changes will remain in effect for 2019.

For more detail on the changes and the University's commitment to comprehensive, affordable health care, please review the memorandum.
