Summer Concert Series set to begin at the Union

A summertime tradition will resume Friday (July 13) as Purdue Memorial Union's Summer Concert Series begins a run of three free weekly shows with picnic-style food and drink available for purchase.

On each date -- July 13, 20 and 27 -- food and beverages will be available from 5:30 to 8 p.m., and the music performance will be from 6:30 to 8 p.m. on the front lawn of the Union. Tables and chairs will be set up, but guests are welcome to bring chairs and/or blankets. Guests are welcome to eat, or listen, or do both. They also can bring their own food.

A summary of the series is on the website of the Purdue Student Union Board, which organizes the series in conjunction with the Union. There is no rain location. In the event of inclement weather or threatening forecast, the event would be canceled. For weather updates, check the series on Facebook.
