Purdue seeking nominations for Jefferson Awards
Purdue University has joined with the Jefferson Awards Foundation to promote the value of engagement and recognize volunteer leaders within its workforce. As part of the partnership, nominations are being accepted to recognize and celebrate individual Purdue employees for meaningful public service to their communities.
Active employees are eligible to be nominated, and self-nominations are welcome. The nomination form is available online, and the current nomination period is open through Oct. 5.
Purdue will recognize up to six award winners each year -- three each semester -- and the top Jefferson Award winner will be selected from these awardees to represent Purdue at the annual national awards ceremony in Washington, D.C.
The Jefferson Awards Foundation is the nation's most prestigious and longest-standing organization dedicated to powering and celebrating public service. The organization honors thousands of grassroots unsung heroes each year, partners with champions to engage their employees and communities in service, and gives young leaders confidence in their ability to make a difference and the skills they need to do it well.
