Personnel Activity Report to transition to online application

As part of the Human Capital Management transformation, the current paper-based process for completing a Personnel Activity Report will transition to a new online self-service application, SEEMLESS (Summer Employment and Effort Management Leading Efficiency through a Simple Solution).

This change is consistent with the Business Process Reengineering goals of streamlining, simplifying, organizing and automating Purdue business processes and related systems. The PARs process will use SEEMLESS, the same application the new summer pay process uses. Use of SEEMLESS for certifying PARs will be mandatory, as it requires faculty to authenticate and provide electronic approval. PARs will still need to be completed in accordance with Purdue’s Effort Reporting policy. Faculty will be required to certify staff and students under their supervision working on sponsored program accounts and federally appropriated funds.

PARs will become available Sept. 14 and will be due by 5 p.m. Oct. 17.

The following resources are available for SEEMLESS:

* Faculty/certifier training sessions that provide a demo of the system and instructions on use.
* Video demonstration of effort reporting through SEEMLESS.
* Online training materials.

Business offices will continue to assist with routing, workflow and reviewing cost distributions for PARs. Additional assistance is available from effort@purdue.edu.
