Graduate students, postdocs invited to submit abstracts and register for Life Science Career Event

Graduate students and postdoctoral fellows are being invited to submit presentation abstracts and to register for the 2018 Life Science Career Event on Oct. 26.

The Life Science Career Event will take place from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. at the Burton D. Morgan Center for Entrepreneurship. The event is organized by life sciences students and sponsored by the Purdue Institute of Inflammation, Immunology and Infectious Diseases and industry sponsors.

The daylong event will begin with student and postdocs delivering talks on their research covering, but not limited to, immunology, infectious diseases, virology, veterinary sciences and systems biology. Students and postdocs must submit their presentation abstracts online by Sept. 28 for consideration.

The event also will include a career development session with an employer panel discussion featuring representatives from various industry positions. During an afternoon career fair, attendees will have the opportunity to meet with industry representatives for one-on-one discussion and interviews for full-time and internship positions. A networking happy hour reception will end the event and allow graduate students, postdoctoral fellows, faculty, recruiters and sponsors to connect and share their work.

Registration is available online. For more information, contact Elizabeth Phillips at phill193@purdue.edu, Priya Prakash at prakashp@purdue.edu or Andrea Lobene at alobene@purdue.edu.
