Search committee formed to find new vice provost for diversity and inclusion
Jay Akridge, provost and executive vice president for academic affairs and diversity, has announced the launch of a national, open search for a vice provost for diversity and inclusion.
"Working with me in my role as chief diversity officer, the leader we hire for this position will play a fundamental role in supporting the success of all faculty, staff, and students at Purdue and in helping us continue to build a climate of respect and inclusion," Akridge says. “Our provost fellows for diversity and inclusion have done a great job during a transition period and now it is time to find a leader who focuses all of their efforts on achieving the goals laid out in the Advisory Committee on Diversity and Inclusion road map.”
