Center for Healthy Living offers telephonic wellness programs to all benefits-eligible employees, all campuses

The Center for Healthy Living on Purdue's West Lafayette campus is offering a variety of telephonic wellness programs free of charge to benefits-eligible Purdue employees, including those who opt out of Purdue health coverage, on all campuses University-wide. Spouses and dependents over the age of 8 weeks covered on a Purdue health plan also are eligible to participate.

Participating in telephonic wellness programs also will count toward needed wellness activities to receive the Healthy Boiler Wellness incentive. The programs will satisfy the category below for wellness activities:

* Participate in four or more health coaching sessions. May include health coach, stress management, mental health, personal trainer or registered dietitian (virtual or in person).

“Implementing the telephonic wellness options is another step the University is taking to provide convenient, easy-to-access wellness options to help create a healthier Purdue community,” says Candace Shaffer, director of benefits in Human Resources. “This option allows all of our employees, regardless of which campus they work at, the opportunity to engage in programs and obtain wellness information that will not only benefit them in their daily lives but will also help them accomplish wellness activities needed to qualify for our Healthy Boiler incentives.”
