Purdue Undergraduate Research Conference accepting abstracts for oral presentation and posters

Undergraduate students have until Feb. 28 to apply to present an oral presentation or poster on their research or creative endeavors at the 2018 Purdue Undergraduate Research Conference, formerly the Undergraduate Research and Poster Symposium.

This daylong celebration of undergraduate research will begin with oral presentations from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. April 10 in Stewart Center, Room 214. The poster symposium will be held 1:30 to 4:30 p.m. in Purdue Memorial Union's North and South Ballrooms. Both events will showcase the research of undergraduate students and are open to the public. Prizes will be awarded from each of the sponsoring academic units. The Undergraduate Research Conference is the culminating event for Purdue's Undergraduate Research Week, April 3-10.

Undergraduate researchers and scholars from all disciplines are encouraged to participate. The process of disseminating research results, gaining valuable feedback from judges, and networking with other participants is a vital step in the learning process from engaging in a research experience.

To apply or to learn more about the event, visit http://www.purdue.edu/undergrad-research. The website also features this semester's seminar series, a listing of available undergraduate research opportunities, resources for getting started in undergraduate research, and a method to subscribe to the undergraduate research newsletter.

The Undergraduate Research and Poster Symposium is organized by the Office of Undergraduate Research.
