Troker, Mexican jazz ensemble Troker, a world-famous Mexican jazz sensation

Troker, a widely acclaimed Mexican jazz ensemble, is coming to Purdue with its taste for mixing elements of other genres. That same taste flavors the music of Korean guitarist Jiji, another soon-to-visit standout. Such performers can stretch the audience's perceptions, experience and pleasure. Don't Miss It!

On the four Thursdays of February, Purdue's 68th annual Books and Coffee series will hold with tradition while examining stimulating recent books. For each event, the gathering is at 4 p.m. for free coffee and pastries plus conversation, and the speaker is at 4:30-4:55 p.m. STEW, Rooms 302-306. Details, speakers and books

Christian pop-contemporary band MercyMe with band Tenth Avenue North will grace the stage. 7:30 p.m. Elliott Hall of Music. $. Event

"The Beaux' Stratagem" by George Farquhar, a comedy of manners, will be Purdue Theatre's production for Feb. 16-25, directed by Richard Sullivan Lee. Two young men roam around England in this 1707 comedy of manners, seeking love and fortune in some order. Performances at 7:30 p.m. Feb. 16, 17, 21, 22, 23, 24; also 2:30 p.m. Feb. 18, 24, 25.
