Conference on Research Integrity set for April 3-5

A nationwide conference examining plagiarism in research and its cultural roots, coming April 3-5, is designed to promote understanding and provide tools and resources for handling situations of concern. The event is designed for those with research and instructional interests around research ethics, research integrity, and responsible conduct of research.

“Plagiarism: Conference on the Identification, Processing, Prevention and Cultural Context of Plagiarism” is co-organized by Purdue's Research Integrity Office and by Indiana University’s Office of Research Compliance. Deborah Rupp, the William C. Byham Chair in Industrial-Organizational Psychology, is Purdue’s research integrity officer.

The conference will take place at the Alexander Hotel in Indianapolis with speakers from throughout the United States and beyond. Registration and an agenda are available at http://researchcompliance.iu.edu/rio/rio_conference_main.html. There is no registration fee.

To reserve a room at The Alexander, go online or call 855-200-3002 and reference the group "IU Research Integrity Plagiarism Conference." A limited number of discounted rooms are available. The last day to reserve a room at the discounted conference rate is March 16.
