Workshop to focus on investment strategies for retirement

Human Resources will host a family-friendly workshop on investment strategies from noon to 1 p.m. July 15 in Stewart Center, Room 311.

"Building a Portfolio for Any Weather" will be presented by Tosin Ratchford from Fidelity and will discuss principles of asset allocation, diversification and risk versus return potential. Developing long-term goals is an important strategy for anyone planning for retirement, and this workshop will provide information on managing investment strategies to meet those long-term goals. Attendees will learn how to determine how much savings is needed for retirement. The workshop will provide an overview of investment types and how to balance potential risk and reward and is aimed at helping attendees gain confidence about making the right investment decisions for individual situations.

Registration is available online and is due July 14. Limited seats are available. Fidelity also will bring presentations to departments.
