Showcases to highlight status of Student Reporting Adoption Project

The Student Reporting Adoption Project kicked off in 2016 to assess, reorganize and curate the set of validated student reports that have been developed over the past eight years and made available to users across the West Lafayette campus. The project team in July is holding showcases for report consumers to discuss the project status and answer questions.

The intent of the Student Reporting Adoption Project is to improve the quality of report organization and make it easier for users to find needed reports as well as establish an ongoing review and archive process. The reports are used for admissions and enrollment numbers, course registration information, number of degrees awarded and student retention and graduation rates.

The project team is reviewing the current set of standard reports and identifying opportunities for better organization, categorization, renaming and consolidation. The project is being sponsored by Pam Horne, vice provost for enrollment management; Brent Drake, chief data officer; and Aaron Walz, director of the Business Intelligence Competency Center.

The showcase dates are:

* July 18: 11 a.m.-noon, Lynn Hall, Room 1136.

* July 19: 1:30-2:30 p.m., Lawson Computer Science Building, Room 1142.

* July 27: 3-4 p.m., Lawson Computer Science Building, Room 1142.

* July 28: 8:30-9:30 a.m., Lynn Hall, Room 1136.

Registration is available online. The showcases will present the same information.
