Lunchtime workshop to focus on nutrition for children

Purdue Human Resources will host a family-friendly workshop to discuss healthy food choices for children at noon-1 p.m. Tuesday (Aug. 4) in Stewart Center, Room 311. Registration is due Monday (Aug. 3). Limited seats are available.

The "Making Nutrition Fun for Children" workshop is an opportunity for anyone raising or supporting someone in raising a child to get information on creating and maintaining a healthy childhood through nutrition. Attendees will learn how good nutrition affects all learning areas and how to implement new strategies for improving nutrition choices. The workshop, presented by Kelsie Muller from Purdue Extension, will offer new strategies for improving nutrition choices.

The family workshops are open to faculty, staff, students and spouses/same-sex domestic partners. Those attending are encouraged to bring lunch to eat while listening to the presentation. Time for asking questions and networking with other parents and caregivers will be offered.
