Center for Healthy Living workshop to focus on importance of vaccines

September 25, 2015

The Center for Healthy Living is hosting a workshop to help attendees learn more about vaccines and how they are the key to being proactive with their health.

The workshop will take place noon to 12:50 p.m. Oct. 7 at the Center for Healthy Living.

Kamal Singh, pharmacist at the Center for Healthy Living, will discuss the pros and cons of vaccines, recommendations and clarifications of the myths surrounding vaccinations today.

"Vaccines have been around for centuries, yet in the minds of the public there are still many questions about them," Singh says. "Some are unaware of what vaccines they should even get. Are you and your family protected against preventable infections or diseases? Do you know which vaccines you should receive? Join me at this workshop, and I will help answer those questions and more."

Register by Oct. 6 by calling 49-45239.

Center for Healthy Living workshops are offered at no cost to benefits-eligible faculty and staff and for spouses/same-sex domestic partners covered on a Purdue medical plan.
