'Dishing it up Diabetes Style' series continues to teach diabetes-friendly meal prep

May 28, 2015

The next "Dishing it up Diabetes Style" workshop in the 2015 series will take place from noon to 12:50 p.m. June 16 at the Lyles-Porter Hall Demo-Kitchen, Room 1107. The workshop offers instruction on food prep for those who have diabetes or know someone who has diabetes. Attendees learn how to create tasty, healthy meals that align well with a positive diabetes lifestyle.

The workshop, led by Ellen Welch, registered dietitian at the Center for Healthy Living, offers participants the opportunity to enjoy a cooking demonstration and samples of the delicious dishes along with the recipes to use at home. The menu for this workshop is triple berry summer salad, spicy pretzels and frozen fruit pops.

Register by June 12 by calling 49-45239. Limited seating is available.

Workshops are offered at no cost to benefits-eligible faculty and staff and for spouses/same-sex domestic partners covered on a Purdue medical plan.
