Teaching portfolio workshop set for Wednesday

March 2, 2015

The Center for Instructional Excellence will hold a workshop on teaching portfolios on Wednesday (March 4).

Two sessions of the workshop will be offered -- the first from 10 to 11:15 a.m. and the second from 2 to 3:15 p.m. Both sessions, which are open to graduate students, especially those who will be entering the job market soon, will be held in Matthews Hall, Room 301 (computer lab). Participants must register here.

The workshop will focus on the components of the teaching portfolio, tools and resources to document teaching effectiveness, and ways to show reflection on one's teaching practices. Participants also will have the opportunity to work on their own teaching portfolio and receive feedback from CIE staff. Participants should bring a paper copy of their portfolio or be prepared to open their e-portfolio on a computer in the lab or on their own computer.
