The Purdue Research and Scholarship Distinction Award was established by Purdue in recognition of faculty whose recent research and scholarship have made a major impact on their field in disciplines outside the domain of the natural sciences. It is based on nomination by colleagues and selection by faculty representatives and the University's president.
