CSSAC elects new vice chair

Cheryl Files was elected vice chair of the Clerical and Service Staff Advisory Committee on Aug. 13 during the group's regular meeting. Files replaces Betty Kroll, who announced her resignation from CSSAC and Purdue in July.

Files, who will become chair in September, is a clerk in the Office of the Bursar and has been in CSSAC for four years.

Lisa Gross will serve as vice chair for the 2013-14 year. She was elected to that position at CSSAC's May meeting.

Also on Aug. 13, chair Gary Carter announced that 10 new CSSAC members will take office in September, the beginning of the group's 2013-14 year. The new members, who attended the August meeting, and the areas they represent are:

* Art Anderson, Physical Facilities, District III.

* Mitzi Barnett, academic schools and divisions reporting to the provost and the director of intercollegiate athletics, District I.

* Kimberly Branham-Whalen, Physical Facilities, District III.

* Pat Carducci, Housing and Food Services, District IV.

* Jessica Clark, Housing and Food Services, District IV.

* Jordan Gilman, academic schools and divisions reporting to the provost and the director of intercollegiate athletics, District I.

* Peggy MacNorton, office of the board of trustees and the president, executive vice president for business and finance, treasurer, internal audit, senior vice president for business services and assistant treasurer, vice president for external relations, vice president for ethics and compliance, vice president for information and technology, vice president for governmental relations and vice president for marketing and media, District II.

* Teresa Remaly, Physical Facilities, District III.

* Brenda Russell, academic schools and divisions reporting to the provost and the director of intercollegiate athletics, District I.

* Makeba Washington, academic schools and divisions reporting to the provost and the director of intercollegiate athletics, District I.
